A tree grows in Oregon

Saw this unusual tree today and it made me think of the resiliency of women over time. The trunk of the tree is laying along the ground. Who knows why. Maybe this species just grows along the ground. That wouldn’t surprise me. Here in Oregon there are so many trees that I have never seen before. Or maybe the tree trunk was held down in some way and kept from rising toward the power of the sun. Either way, as you can see, at least 4 trees have grown from the trunk and are thriving. And look to the right. Even after she gave her strength for the those trees, in her later years, she is rising like the Phoenix that she has always been.
