Is it spring?

I have spent the last week cleaning out drawers, giving away clothes I don’t use, throwing away all those things I thought I might use some day. I think I may be out of control. The thing I found most interesting was how many junk drawers I have. I no longer know what’s in any of these places, so I must not need anything in them. This all started because I’m trying to get rid of my desk, which is too big and also a catch all. I had to have someplace to put all the things in the desk I needed to keep. I realized that if I just cleaned out all my junk drawers I probably wouldn’t need the desk at all. Well, that wasn’t really true, but I have either gotten rid of most of it or put it in a rolling file I bought for $20. Now I just have to get rid of the desk.

  1. Carol says:

Life is full of junk drawers, safe places to put things, and the inability to remember which safe place holds what you’re looking for. Get rid of the desk and something else will take its place. There’s a rule.

  2. Every time I clean out a junk drawer, I swear I will not fill it again. Which turns out to be a lie.
